We recently had the opportunity to provide a photo booth experience for Greenwich Academy’s graduation celebration at the Belle Haven Club in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Graduation parties are always special because they’re more than just another event. They’re a celebration of years of hard work, friendships, accomplishments, and the beginning of a new chapter. This event was a great example of that.
A Beautiful Setting for a Milestone Celebration
The Belle Haven Club is one of Greenwich’s most iconic waterfront venues, and it provided the perfect backdrop for this celebration. Guests enjoyed beautiful views throughout the evening while gathering with friends and family to recognize the graduating class.
The combination of the waterfront setting, great weather, and excited graduates created an atmosphere that felt celebratory from the moment guests arrived.
A Packed Dance Floor All Night Long
One thing that stood out throughout the evening was the energy. The DJ did an incredible job reading the crowd and keeping the dance floor full throughout the celebration. Every time I looked up, there seemed to be another group of graduates enjoying the music and making memories together.
When the energy is high on the dance floor, it naturally carries over to the rest of the event. That was certainly the case here.
Photo Booth Fun with a Gold Sequin Backdrop
For this event, we created custom three-pose 2x6 photo strips in front of a gold sequin backdrop. The gold backdrop worked perfectly with the atmosphere of the event and quickly became a popular gathering spot throughout the evening. Guests posed with friends, celebrated together, and created keepsakes they could take home immediately.
One of my favorite moments came when guests started borrowing my gold sequin blazer and red boa during photo sessions. It’s always fun when people stop worrying about the camera and enjoy themselves.
Capturing More Than Just Photos
One of the reasons I enjoy graduation events so much is that they bring together so many different emotions. There’s excitement about the future, pride in what has been accomplished, and appreciation for the friendships and memories that were created along the way.
A photo booth may seem like a simple addition to an event, but years later, those images often become some of the most meaningful reminders of the people who shared those moments together.
